We arrived after a shocking 24 hour journey - all shattered!!
Yesterday we went on Safari which was fantastic! We were looking out for the 'big five' alll day and we saw Rhino's (black and white) and Elephant as well as Zebra, Giraffe, Wilderbeast, Impala, Babboons and much more! It was fantastic to be able to see them so close up and we were surprised at how Huge Rhino's are!!
Today we're in the school which is very different from home life! And are looking forward to more exciting adverntures in the week!

FINALLY....

Finally the time we have all been waiting for has arrived! We are virtually packed and ready to go!
We have had a fabulous Itinary sent over from Empangeni High school and we are all so excited!
Thanks so much to Barbara Poole and co. (Rhiannon's nana) for knitting so many beautiful vests and teddys for the children in the Orphanage; we cant wait to give them to the children and were positive they'll be very grateful!

February Cake Sale

On thursday we had a cake sale in Upper School and managed to raise £70! Thank you to everyone who donated! We are so close to being there, less than six weeks to go!
Watch out for our pancakes on monday at Lower School!

Primary Competition

Our latest fundraising inititive was orgainsing a poetry/art competition for the local schools. We wanted a way of linking the children of Knutsford with the chilren of Durban. The competition wasnt so successful as there wasnt as much participation as we'd have hoped, however, the entries we had were fantastic and we have Selected one amazing winner from St Vincents Catholic Primary School- Well done!! The winning entry (pictured Below) will be hung on the walls in the orpganage!

Lower School Cake Sale

Our latest fundraiser was a cake sale at lower school...We all baked loads of cakes and stood in the GMEX at lower school during break time- It was freezing!! However we managed to sell all the cakes and we would just like to say thanks to everyone who donated to us and also Thanks to Miss Newell for her donation of her Wonderful Rudolph Cakes which proved to be very popular!!!

RENT cake sale

Tonight we did a cake sale at Knutsford High School's production of RENT, which is supporting raising awareness of aids - this also links in with our fundraising for the care home we will visit during our stay at Empangeni High, which cares for children orphaned by aids. We sold lots of cakes, and would like to thank you all for your support!

Bag Pack

Today we did a bag pack in Tesco Extra in Altrincham, and raised £430! We really enjoyed it, thank you to everyone who helped us and donated!
