Lower School Cake Sale

Our latest fundraiser was a cake sale at lower school...We all baked loads of cakes and stood in the GMEX at lower school during break time- It was freezing!! However we managed to sell all the cakes and we would just like to say thanks to everyone who donated to us and also Thanks to Miss Newell for her donation of her Wonderful Rudolph Cakes which proved to be very popular!!!

RENT cake sale

Tonight we did a cake sale at Knutsford High School's production of RENT, which is supporting raising awareness of aids - this also links in with our fundraising for the care home we will visit during our stay at Empangeni High, which cares for children orphaned by aids. We sold lots of cakes, and would like to thank you all for your support!

Bag Pack

Today we did a bag pack in Tesco Extra in Altrincham, and raised £430! We really enjoyed it, thank you to everyone who helped us and donated!

The Sponsored Cycle!

Sunday was the day we rode to Liverpool! Leaving at 9.30 am we didnt arrive until 4.30...that means it took a long and painful 7 hours!! It was freezing cold and raining for most of the day so as you can imagine it was pretty grim! By the end it was dark and we had barely eaten anything so we were shattered and well ready for our beds!!

Fundraiser 1

Today was our first fundraising event... we did a Cake stall at a christmas fair. After hours of baking and packing up boxes we set up our stall. Looking around we had lots of competition with 7 other cake stalls!!!
However we managed to raise £40!! Looking forward to our next fundraising event next weekend! Thank You to everyone who made some donations to our stall, it couldn't have been done without you!!

Hii! 

As you probably know a group of us are going to Empangeni, South Africa next Easter with two of our teachers, Miss Newell and Mr Acton. This blog is going to keep you up to date with everything we're doing - both in England and South Africa! 

As part of our trip we are going to be visiting a care home which acts as a pre-school and orphanage, and care centre for abused and single mothers with HIV/AIDS. 

We're doing lots of fundraising to help raise money, and we'd love you to help us to do this. We had our first official fundraising meeting today where we've been discussing lots of ideas, like sponsored cycles, murder mystery evenings, bag packs, quiz nights and cake sales. We have lots of other ideas which are still being planned!

We're hoping to make links with the Knutsford Guardian so hopefully you'll be able to read about us there aswell!
